Beginnings are Hard
New Beginnings are Harder!
The Starting Problem
Do you remember the time you took your first step? I don’t remember mine, but if you are a parent or have cared for a little one in your family, you know it is a months-long process, involving rolling over, sitting up, crawling, pulling up to stand, cruising along furniture and then finally taking those first wobbly, hands-free steps. The same goes for speaking your first coherent word or writing your first letter, but I don’t remember those either. They took time but came so naturally! Just like learning to cycle at 10 or drive at 18.
Until today.
A few hours ago, I typed the first word for this post after staring at a blinking cursor on a fresh blank page for days. Okay, months. 😊Six months to be precise, since I left my day job. I have been writing professionally for 15 years, yet this feels intimidating. Crafting my first personal public blog post has pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. At 40 years, this new beginning is certainly more difficult than the many beginnings I faced in my younger years. Life surprises us in ways we do not imagine.
New Beginnings
We will all leave our day jobs one day – voluntarily or otherwise.
For many, the reason will be to find our raison d'etre - the purpose of our minuscule existence on this spinning ball of mud, as it was for me. Some will seek to make a profound impact, while others will create small ripples of happiness through philanthropy, or following their passion for music, dance, spirituality, or travel.
For others, the goal might be better health, spending time with friends and family, or simply doing nothing.
Whatever your next beginning looks like, you can surely expect to be surprised in ways you don’t imagine right now. Unexpected distractions, time demands, expenses, or medical exigencies can all disrupt the journey.
Why Financial Freedom?
The ability to overcome these impediments and persist – to do something meaningful and close to your heart – requires reaching a point where money is no longer the primary thought. That point is called financial freedom.
Hello friends, I am Amit Manchanda – an investment analyst by training, an MBA (Finance) by qualification, and a firm believer that achieving financial freedom is not just everyone’s right or personal privilege, but a responsibility. It is the only way that allows us to shift focus beyond making money and instead, leave the world a little better than we found it.
Why This Blog?
I recently achieved this freedom, and starting this publication is my way of sharing the joy. Trust me, the process is simple. But personal finance is buried under a mountain of vested interests—misleading advice, scams, and toxic products. Such noise on the internet thrives on the human desire to get rich quickly and easily, making the journey confusing, exhausting and fruitless.
Through this publication, I intend to cut through the noise and make financial independence simple – not quick, not easy, but achievable.
Let’s Begin then!
So, give yourself the immense possibility to make a difference – big or small, to this world and to your own experience of being. Be financially free, and embrace your dreams fearlessly.

Way to go Sir...
